Ads Agent Audit: check what Amazon advertised for you — and how much profit was left.

With the new Amazon Ads Agent, Amazon itself decides where your budget goes. Ads Agent Audit is your independent check: it compares the goal you set for the account with where the money actually went, and closes the books on real net profit — after product cost, fees and taxes, not just ACoS.

What it is and who it's for

You'll find it under Intelligence → Ads Agent Audit, inside each account, for Amazon US and Brazil. It reads the account's ad spend and builds a Divergence Report — read-only, it never changes anything on Amazon.

It's for sellers who use (or plan to use) Amazon's native Ads Agent and want an independent second set of eyes, and for agencies that need to prove to clients, with a profit number, whether spend is going toward the right goal.

The problem it solves

The native agent is good at executing, but it grades its own homework: it optimizes for Amazon's metrics — clicks and ACoS — and knows nothing about your product cost, your fees or your taxes. Without an independent check, you accept what it bought blindly, and a campaign with a "good" ACoS may actually be losing money once real costs are in.

How it works

🎯

Stated goal

You say what you want from the account: grow sales, lower acquisition cost or defend the brand. That's the yardstick everything is measured against.

🧾

Divergence Report

The Audit matches that goal against where the spend actually went, campaign by campaign, and flags where what Amazon bought doesn't match what you asked for.

💰

Real net profit

It closes the books not just on ACoS but on net margin — after product cost, Amazon fees and taxes. The number Amazon doesn't show you.

🩸

Leaks in plain sight

It shows spend that didn't turn into sales and campaigns off target, ready for you to take back to the agent or fix by hand.

Example

You set the account goal to "lower acquisition cost." Over the month, Amazon's Ads Agent put 70% of the budget into branded campaigns that were already selling on their own. The Audit shows the divergence (spend defending the brand while the goal was acquiring new customers) and closes the books: ACoS looked healthy, but the net margin on those campaigns, after cost and taxes, came out negative. You take that back to the agent with a concrete request. (Illustrative example.)

Why you can trust the number

👁️

It never changes anything

The Audit is read-only. It audits and reports; you (or Amazon's agent) still decide and execute.

❔

It doesn't make up data

When information is missing for a cut (for example, branded terms or new-to-brand customers), the Audit states the limit instead of guessing a number.

🧮

Real profit

It accounts for product cost, Amazon fees and taxes — the same net profit basis as the rest of the platform, not a dressed-up ACoS.

🌎

US and Brazil

It uses the data from the connected account, whether it's on Amazon US or Amazon Brazil.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Amazon Ads Agent?

It's the conversational advertising agent Amazon introduced at unBoxed 2026 to replace the old Ads Console: you talk to it, and it decides and executes where your Sponsored Ads budget goes. Ads Agent Audit doesn't compete with it — it independently checks what it bought.

Does the Audit change anything in my account or campaigns?

No. The Audit is read-only: it reads account and campaign data to build the Divergence Report, but it never changes a bid, budget, campaign or anything else on Amazon.

How is this different from the ACoS Amazon already shows me?

The Ads Agent optimizes for Amazon's metrics (clicks, ACoS), which know nothing about your product cost, fees or taxes. The Audit closes on real net profit: after COGS, Amazon fees and taxes. A campaign with a "good" ACoS can still be losing money — that's what the Audit shows you.

Do I need to use Amazon's Ads Agent to use the Audit?

No. The Audit reviews the Sponsored Ads spend of the connected account, whether it was placed by the Ads Agent, by you manually or by an agency. It compares that spend with the goal you set for the account.

Does it work for Amazon US?

Yes. The Audit uses the data from the connected account, whether it's on Amazon US or Amazon Brazil.
