Where to find it and who can use it

In your Amazon seller account, open Market Research → Markets. Exploration covers Amazon US (amazon.com) and Amazon Brazil, depending on the integration, the taxonomy and access to the Market module.

By category

Open a category and its subcategories. Search the current level, use the breadcrumb path to go back and filter to categories with a saved analysis only.

Compare analyzed

Compare the most recent ready-made analyses by category. Sort by the available indicators: estimated revenue, units, products, price or concentration.

Products and analysis

Open the full report to review the products and the sample data, keeping access to everything in the existing analysis.

Keep researching

Product Research keeps the category you picked. Continuing in Niche Explorer carries the category name over as a search term and only runs when you click Search.

How it works

  1. Open By category, pick a root and navigate through the subcategories. Search category filters the current level.
  2. Turn on Only categories with a saved analysis to find available reports. A category with no analysis doesn't mean zero revenue.
  3. In Compare analyzed, choose Sort and page through with Previous / Next. Check the date and coverage before comparing indicators.
  4. Click View products to open the full analysis, or continue in Product Research and Niche Explorer to dig deeper.

Data, coverage and limits

  • Indicators reflect the products found in the sample. Estimated revenue and units don't represent the whole market or sellers' confirmed revenue.
  • Categories can overlap: don't add their totals together as if they were independent markets. The comparison uses real, ready-made reports and flags coverage limitations.
  • Browsing and viewing saved analyses doesn't generate a new analysis. Generation stays in the Competitive → Market by Category flow and is subject to permissions, criteria and the data provider's quota.
  • In Niche Explorer, the name is a search term and doesn't guarantee results are restricted to the category. The search only runs when you click Search.
  • The tree may be unavailable without an integration or taxonomy permission. An unrecognized marketplace isn't automatically mapped to another one; Vendor Central (1P) accounts don't use this exploration.

Frequently asked questions

Does browsing Markets use up a new analysis?

Browsing reads the category taxonomy and analyses already saved, without generating paid reports automatically. Generating an analysis through the existing flow is still subject to the data provider's quota.

Do the values represent the entire market?

No. They're indicators from the sample of products found in the report, each with its own date and coverage. They don't represent sellers' confirmed revenue.

Why doesn't a category show any values?

There may be no ready analysis for that category. The tree also depends on the integration, the available taxonomy, the marketplace and the account's permissions.
