Returns: understand the event, check the amounts and organize the review

A physical return, a refund to the buyer and a reimbursement to the seller are different events. Look up the available Amazon records and check each order and item before preparing a claim.

Where to find it and who can use it

In your Amazon seller account, open Post-sale → Returns. The data depends on the available SP-API reports and read permission for the Reports module. Reviewing and preparing require edit permission.

Return events

Filter by product or order, event type, reason and status. Open View details to check identifiers, quantity, dates, condition, status and source.

Incidents and reimbursements

Review possible damage, losses and returns. The reason reported by Amazon is shown separately from the classification inferred by EcomVision.

Bulk review

Select the page or all filtered results. Check quantities, amount coverage and currencies, without repeating an order's net outflow for each product.

Report and tracking

Download the report and copy the text for review. Track review, pending documents, preparation and claim status per item; confirmed credits come from Amazon's records.

How it works

  1. In Return events, choose the period and filters. Use View details or click the product title to see every field of the event.
  2. In Incidents and reimbursements, select the account and dates. Open Review incident and check the original events, related credits and uncertain links.
  3. Check Policies, deadlines and where to file, with the source and date it was verified. Record the review and the required documents before preparing a case.
  4. Download the report for the incident or the selection and review the text. After the review, Prepare bulk claims splits the groups by account, source, type and order.
  5. File manually through the applicable Amazon channel. Then enter the case ID and track each item. Preparing or downloading does not record a submission to Amazon.

Data, coverage and limits

  • A refusal or return, on its own, doesn't prove you're entitled to a reimbursement. Classifying an incident doesn't confirm liability or eligibility either.
  • The screen doesn't submit claims to Amazon. Review and preparation are internal; the decision and deadlines depend on the policy and evidence that apply to the account.
  • Cases already reimbursed, in progress or with insufficient evidence are left out of the automatic selection of ready cases. Partial reimbursements and ambiguous links require review.
  • Missing amounts stay unavailable and currencies are kept separate. An order's net refund outflow is not an exact refund for the item. Pending amounts are never assumed.
  • Without collected reports, no data does not mean zero incidents. The flow serves Amazon seller accounts; Vendor (1P) doesn't use this flow.

Frequently asked questions

Does a return guarantee a reimbursement?

No. You need to check the incident, the evidence, any existing credits and the applicable Amazon policy. EcomVision keeps uncertain cases under review.

Can I review several items together?

Yes. The selection distinguishes the current page from all filtered results. The report consolidates the details, and preparation splits groups by account, source, type and order.

Does EcomVision submit the claim to Amazon?

No. The screen generates a report and text for you to review and guides you through filing it manually in Seller Central. Preparing doesn't mean submitting.
