What it is and who it's for

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open protocol that lets an AI assistant query external systems right inside the conversation. EcomVision publishes a remote connector (mcp.ecomvision.com.br) with authentication and read-only access, exposing the same data that powers the platform — for Claude and for ChatGPT. The token or sign-in lives on the app's Integrations screen, under System → Integrations.

It's for anyone who already uses Claude or ChatGPT every day and wants to ask about their own Amazon Ads account without switching tabs — "where am I losing money on ads?", "what was my profit this month?", "how should I structure campaigns for a launch?" — with the EcomVision method behind the answer, not the model's generic knowledge.

The problem it solves

An AI assistant without a connector answers Amazon Ads questions with generic knowledge — it can't see your account, doesn't know your real ACoS or your profit after COGS, taxes and fees. Copying report numbers into the chat works once, but it doesn't scale and it's outdated by the next day. The connector closes that gap: the AI sees your account's current data, straight from the source.

How to connect

None of the three options requires installing software. The simplest is through Claude — it works on any plan. In ChatGPT there are two ways, with different prerequisites.

Claude — direct connection

1️⃣

Settings → Connectors

In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and click "+" → "Add custom connector".

2️⃣

Paste the URL

Paste https://mcp.ecomvision.com.br/mcp and click Add.

3️⃣

Sign in and ask

Sign in with your EcomVision email and password, authorize access and start asking. Works on any Claude plan — Free, Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise — in the browser, the desktop app and on mobile.

ChatGPT — Connector (fastest to set up)

Requires a paid plan (Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise), used in the browser — the feature doesn't show up in the apps — and Developer mode turned on first (on Business/Enterprise accounts, the workspace admin turns it on).

1️⃣

Turn on Developer mode

In ChatGPT Settings, turn on "Developer mode".

2️⃣

Add a connector with the same URL

In Settings → Connectors (or Apps), add a custom connector with https://mcp.ecomvision.com.br/mcp.

3️⃣

Sign in and ask

Sign in with your EcomVision email and password and authorize. On some screens you need to select the connector in the tools menu before asking.

ChatGPT — custom GPT (more work, saved under its own name)

An alternative for anyone who wants a GPT with its own name and instructions — or to share it with the team on a Team/Business/Enterprise account. Requires the Actions tab to be available on your plan (usually Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise).

1️⃣

Generate the read-only token

In EcomVision, under System → Integrations, click "Generate connector token" — copy it and keep it safe; it's shown in full only once.

2️⃣

Build the GPT

Explore GPTs → Create → Configure tab. Name it "EcomVision", paste the method instructions into Instructions and paste the EcomVision OpenAPI schema into Actions → Create new action.

3️⃣

Set up the Bearer token and save

Under Authentication, choose API Key → Bearer and paste the token from step 1. Save as "Only me" (personal use) or publish to the workspace — each person who uses it needs their own token.

The complete walkthrough — including the exact instruction text and the OpenAPI schema to copy and paste — is in the interactive guide inside the app, linked directly from the "AI Connector" card on the Integrations screen (where the token is generated, too).

In any of the three options, if you manage more than one Amazon account, the AI asks which one to work on before pulling data — access is always isolated per account.

What the connector exposes

Two families of tools, all read-only. The entry tool delivers the complete diagnosis in a single call; the detail tools are there for when you ask to dig into a specific campaign, keyword or product.

📋

Account dossier

Complete diagnosis in one call: period results with real profit, wasted spend, campaigns above the ACoS target, products by impact, weak listings and operational alerts — already prioritized.

📚

Knowledge base

Our in-house method for PPC, listings, A9/A10, Rufus and compliance, citing the source — used before any answer about "how to do it" or "what's the rule".

🔍

Product page diagnosis

Points out what's weak in an ASIN's title, bullets, images and compliance, citing the section of the method that applies — the final copy is written in the EcomVision Listing Builder.

🎯

Niche analysis

Product research for private label — by search term or by catalog filters for price, sales, reviews and BSR, with an Opportunity Score.

💰

Performance, profit and wasted spend

Performance by campaign, ACoS by keyword, daily trend, bid history and the full P&L (COGS, taxes, fees and margin) — the detail tools behind the dossier.

🏆

Product and listing scorecard

ASIN ranking combining ads and margin, organic vs. ad sales breakdown, and the quality score (0–10 / A–F) of each listing.

In the custom GPT option, the Actions schema exposes a subset of these same tools through the EcomVision REST API (with a Bearer token) — the operation names use a different format, but the data is the same.

Ready-made playbooks (MCP Prompts)

In Claude, the connector also publishes ready-made playbooks in the prompts menu — each one chains the right tools in the right order, following the EcomVision method.

Account diagnosis (Amazon Ads)

Complete playbook: lists your accounts, pulls the prioritized dossier and delivers the 3 biggest spend leaks, the period's profit and 3 concrete actions with the link to execute them in EcomVision.

Audit a listing

Audits an ASIN against our method dimension by dimension (title, bullets, images, Rufus, compliance), with the current score and fixes prioritized by impact.

Launch campaign plan

Builds the campaign set by stage — launch, traction, scale — with keyword structure, budget and target ACoS, in plain language.

Integrations and data used

Amazon Ads API + SP-API

The same synced data that powers the platform — campaigns, keywords, sales, inventory and listings.

EcomVision P&L

Costs, taxes and fees entered in the platform, behind every answer about real profit or margin.

Your Claude or ChatGPT subscription

The connector only delivers data — the model and the inference cost come from your own plan, not from EcomVision.

Controls and security

🔒

Read-only in all three options

The server rejects any write attempt, whether it comes from Claude, the ChatGPT Connector or the custom GPT — even if the model tried to change something, the call is blocked before it gets anywhere near your Amazon account.

🔑

The token isn't your password

In the custom GPT, the read-only token generated in Integrations is a separate credential, unrelated to your sign-in. In Claude and the ChatGPT Connector, access comes from an OAuth sign-in with email and password, without exposing the password to the model.

🛡️

Isolated per account, revocable instantly

You only see your own Amazon accounts — never another customer's data. Changing your EcomVision password invalidates sign-in-based access immediately; revoking the token in Integrations shuts off the custom GPT without touching your sign-in.

Claude vs. ChatGPT with the connector

The data tools are the same in all three options. The difference is in the prerequisites and the protocol wrapper.

In Claude

Works on any plan. Receives EcomVision's method instructions with every answer and has access to the ready-made Playbooks in the prompts menu — the right playbook is already suggested.

In ChatGPT (Connector)

Requires a paid plan, the browser and Developer mode turned on. Queries the same set of tools, but without the instruction wrapper — for the playbooks, describe the steps in your question.

In ChatGPT (custom GPT)

More work to build (token + OpenAPI schema pasted manually), but it's saved with its own name, instructions and conversation starters — and can be shared with the team on a Team/Business/Enterprise account.

Frequently asked questions

What is MCP and what does it change in practice?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open protocol that lets an AI assistant — Claude or ChatGPT — query data from an external system right inside the conversation, without leaving the app. With the EcomVision connector, you ask about your real Amazon Ads account in plain English and the answer comes with your actual numbers, not a generic estimate from the model.

Do I need to install anything?

No. In Claude, it's a remote connector: add the URL https://mcp.ecomvision.com.br/mcp and sign in with your EcomVision email and password. In ChatGPT there are two options: the Connector uses the same URL but requires turning on Developer mode first; the custom GPT uses a read-only token generated on the app's Integrations screen, pasted into a GPT you build. None of the three requires downloading or installing software.

Can the connector change anything in my Amazon account or in EcomVision?

No, in all three options. It's read-only, enforced on the server: the token (OAuth in Claude/Connector, or the read-only token generated in Integrations for the custom GPT) only authorizes queries, and the API rejects any method other than GET coming from it — even if the model tried to write. To take action, the answer includes a direct link to the right EcomVision screen.

Does it work the same in Claude and ChatGPT?

The data tools are the same in both. The difference is that Claude receives EcomVision's method instructions and ready-made Prompts (playbooks) through the MCP protocol; ChatGPT (in both options) queries the same data without that wrapper, so the method has to be built into your question. The connection path also differs: Claude and the ChatGPT Connector use email and password sign-in; the custom GPT uses a separately generated read-only token.

I can't find Developer mode in ChatGPT.

Make sure you're in the browser (not the app) and on a paid plan (Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise) — the feature doesn't appear on the free plan. On Business or Enterprise accounts, only the workspace admin can turn it on.

How do I revoke access to my account?

If you connected through Claude or the ChatGPT Connector, change your EcomVision password — every sign-in-based access is cut off immediately — or remove the connector directly in the AI's settings. If you used the custom GPT with a token, go back to Integrations in EcomVision and revoke the token: the GPT stops pulling data immediately, without touching your password.
