Live Ads: who's at the top of search right now.

Type a keyword and see who holds the sponsored top of Amazon search at that moment, where your products show up — organic or sponsored — and your position according to Amazon Ads itself. If needed, adjust that keyword's bid right there.

What it is and who it's for

It lives under Campaigns → Live Ads, with four tabs: Keywords, ASIN Ranks, Product Ranking and Share of Voice. You can save up to 100 keywords and track up to 50 ASINs per account.

It's for advertisers who want a fast answer to "am I showing up?" — before a big sales day, after changing a bid, or when a keyword's sales drop for no obvious reason.

The problem it solves

Searching your own keyword on Amazon doesn't show the truth: the sponsored block is personalized, and what you see in your browser isn't what the shopper sees. Amazon Ads reports show position and impression share, but not who's next to you. Live Ads brings both together: the search snapshot and your account data.

How it works

🔍

On-demand search

Up to 6 sponsored results from the top of search, with your products tagged "YOURS" and their position on the page, organic or sponsored.

📈

Your position (Amazon Ads)

The keyword's rank and impression share, Top-of-Search by campaign, Amazon's recommended bid range, and today's impressions and clicks by hour.

🕑

Check history

Position change vs. the previous check and the last 20 checks for each keyword.

📣

Share of Voice

Your average share and competitors' share by brand over 7 or 30 days, calculated from the checks you've run.

What this screen doesn't promise

The search is a snapshot of the moment. The sponsored block changes by shopper and by the minute; the screen warns you that an ad missing from one check doesn't mean it isn't running.

Competitors' bids aren't public. Amazon doesn't disclose them, and the screen doesn't pretend to know. What it shows is the bid range Amazon recommends for your keyword — and raising your bid doesn't guarantee the top spot.

Searches run when you ask. There's no automatic sweep: you get 20 searches per day per account, and repeating the same keyword within 10 minutes doesn't use another one. The "Your position" box comes from Amazon Ads and doesn't use a search. Hourly data arrives with a 1 to 3 hour delay.

Example

The day before a promotion, you search your main keyword. Your product shows up 3rd among sponsored results; the Amazon Ads box shows low top-of-search share for the campaign and an out-of-budget alert in the last 12 hours. The problem wasn't the bid — it was the budget running out early. You fix it and, on the next check, compare the position with the previous one.

Controls and limits

✍️

Direct bid adjustment

"Update bid" and "Top of search" (0–900%) write to Amazon Ads immediately, with no confirmation step: use them with the same care you would in the Amazon console.

👀

Client view is read-only

In an agency's client view, bids are read-only; the account manager is the one who applies changes.

🔢

Clear limit

20 searches per day per account, with a counter on screen. A failed search doesn't count against the limit.

Live Ads vs. searching on Amazon

Searching in your browser

Shows your personalized version of the search, with no history, no position as recorded by Amazon Ads, and no way to compare with yesterday.

Frequently asked questions

What is Live Ads?

It's an EcomVision screen that shows, right now, who holds the sponsored top of Amazon search for your keywords, where your products show up and your position according to Amazon Ads, with bid adjustment in the same place.

Is the position shown exact?

It's a snapshot of the moment. Amazon's sponsored block changes by shopper and throughout the day, so the screen keeps a history of checks and also shows the position Amazon Ads itself records.

Can I see competitors' bids?

No. Amazon doesn't make anyone's bids public. The screen shows the bid range Amazon recommends for your keyword.

How many searches can I run?

20 per day per account. Repeating the same keyword within 10 minutes doesn't use another search, and the box with your Amazon Ads position doesn't use a search.

Can I change the bid from there?

Yes. "Update bid" and the "Top of search" adjustment write directly to Amazon Ads.
