Know whether your launch pays off before you spend a dollar.
The Launch Calculator simulates the cost of a campaign with your product's real numbers — price, CPC, conversion rate, referral fee, cost and tax — and shows whether the projected ACoS lands below break-even before you create the real ad.

What it is and who it's for
It lives under Intelligence → Listing Optimizer → Calculate campaign cost. You pick a product (or leave it on "General", the account average) and set the scenario — sales target per day, campaign length — while price, conversion rate and CPC come pre-filled with real numbers. The result shows projected spend, sales and profit, and whether the scenario's ACoS stays within what the product can support.
It's built for anyone launching a new product or a new campaign who needs to set budget and targets with real numbers — not a spreadsheet estimate — before committing ad budget.
The problem it solves
Deciding how much to invest in a launch without knowing the product's break-even ACoS is a blind bet — the ad can generate sales and still lose money, because ad spend ate more than the margin. Building that math in a spreadsheet means pulling price, cost, referral fee and tax together by hand, and it still doesn't use the real CPC and conversion rate from your own ads.
How it works
Pick the product
Price, conversion rate and CPC come from the product's real numbers and your ads — or stay on "General" to use the account average.
Set the scenario
Sales target per day and campaign length — everything else (clicks needed, projected spend, sales) is calculated from there.
Margin and break-even
Category referral fee, tax, product cost and FBA/shipping make up the per-unit margin and the product's break-even ACoS.
Does it pay off?
It compares the scenario's projected ACoS with break-even and tells you, with a green or red badge, whether the launch holds up.
By keyword
Type a search term and see its real CPC and conversion rate in your ads, the current bid and Amazon's suggested bid, and the weekly sales target to rank organically.
Example
You want to sell 3 units a day for 30 days of a product with an average price of $43.82. The calculator projects 41 clicks/day, $62.43 in daily spend and $1,872.97 over the period — with a projected ACoS of 47.5% against an 80% break-even. The green badge confirms it: in this scenario, the launch pays off, with an estimated profit of $1,282.07 for the period.

Controls and security
Simulation only
Adjusting scenarios doesn't create, change or run anything in your Amazon Ads account — it's a calculator, not an action.
Isolated per account
The real numbers used in the simulation always come from your own account — no data is accessible to any other EcomVision customer.

Launch Calculator vs. a manual spreadsheet
Manual spreadsheet
Pull price, referral fee, cost and tax together by hand, and guess CPC and conversion rate because a spreadsheet can't fetch them.
In EcomVision
CPC, conversion rate, referral fee, cost and tax come straight from the account — you only adjust the target and price if you want to simulate another scenario.
Frequently asked questions
Where do the calculator's numbers come from?
When you pick a product, it pulls the real price, conversion rate (CVR) and CPC from your own ads, the category's actual referral fee, the product cost you entered, the FBA fee from the SP-API, and the tax rate configured on the account. Each field shows where its value came from. With no product selected, the numbers are the average for the whole account.
How does it decide whether the launch "pays off"?
It compares the scenario's projected ACoS with the break-even ACoS — the point where ad spend eats the product's entire margin. If projected ACoS is below break-even, the badge shows the launch pays off; above it, the ad loses money in that scenario.
Can I simulate a specific keyword?
Yes. When you type a keyword, the calculator brings in its real CPC and conversion rate from your ads (it works even for keywords with no history), the current bid and Amazon's suggested bid, and a weekly sales target to rank organically — CPR-style, with volume estimated from an impressions proxy (more accurate with Brand Analytics connected).
Does it take any action on my Amazon account?
No. It's a simulation — adjust scenarios freely with no effect on your live account. Use it to decide budget and targets before you create the real campaign.
