Discover products: select, export and track

  1. In the menu, open Competitive › Discover products and run the search with Find products, as usual.
  2. In the results, check the boxes on the left of the products you care about. The header box selects the whole list, across all pages.
  3. The N selected bar shows up, with three actions:
ActionWhat it does
Export selectedDownloads an XLSX with only the checked products, the same as Export XLSX for the whole list. It changes nothing.
TrackPuts the checked products in Competitor tracking, which follows price, offers and stock over time. Tracking holds up to 20 products per marketplace: the ones already there are skipped and anything over the limit is left out. The action asks for confirmation (Confirm and track), and the result says how many went in and how many were left out. The Open Competitor tracking button takes you to the list.
Clear selectionUnchecks everything. A new search also clears the selection.

The Track button doesn't show for read-only profiles. It writes only to the account's Tracking: nothing changes on Amazon.

Open in Markets

With one category chosen in the filters, the Open in Markets button opens that same category in the Markets screen, so you can see the category as a market. With more than one category, the button is disabled and the screen says: "To open in Markets, keep just one category chosen in the filters."

The filter's category list needs Seller Central (SP-API) connected to the account. The rest of the search doesn't.

Competitor keywords: select and export

In Competitive › Competitor keywords, paste an ASIN, an Amazon product link or a keyword and click Search. Searching by keyword requires Seller Central to be connected. Searching and exporting don't change your campaigns.

In the keyword tabs, each row has a checkbox. The header box (Select all) selects every row in the current filter, across all pages. With at least one row checked, the N selected bar shows up:

ActionWhat it does
Export selectedWith Download Excel (XLSX) or Download CSV, downloads only the checked rows, with the same columns turned on in the screen. It changes nothing on Amazon.
Add to campaignAdds the checked keywords to an ad group of one of your manual SP campaigns, with a preview before applying (up to 200 at a time).
Add as negativesSends the checked keywords as negative keywords of one of your SP campaigns: its ads stop showing on those searches. It also has a preview before applying.

Switching tab, match type or search clears the selection. Add to campaign and Add as negatives only show for people who can edit Ads; Export selected shows for everyone.

Add as negatives, step by step

  1. Check the keywords and click Add as negatives.
  2. Choose the Campaign. Sponsored Products (SP) campaigns show up, automatic or manual, enabled or paused. The negative applies to the whole campaign, in every ad group.
  3. Choose the Match type. Exact blocks only the search equal to the term (up to 10 words). Phrase blocks searches that contain the term (up to 4 words). Start with Exact, the safest.
  4. Click See preview. Each keyword shows as Will be added as negative or Over the limit — will not be sent (a term with more words, or more than 80 characters, than Amazon accepts). The preview also warns You already advertise on the keywords your account already uses: adding a negative in the campaign that uses them takes its ad off that search.
  5. Click Confirm and add negatives (N). The result comes per keyword: Added as negative, Already a negative — skipped, Over the limit — not sent or rejected by Amazon, with the reason. The action is recorded in the Change log.

What changes on Amazon

  • Discover products: selecting, exporting and opening in Markets change nothing. Track writes only to your account's Competitor tracking in EcomVision.
  • Competitor keywords: searching and exporting change nothing. Only Add to campaign and Add as negatives, after the preview and confirmation, create keywords or negatives in the chosen campaign. No other keyword, bid or campaign is changed.
